Fireplace Utensils and Rack

On the rack: A ladle for serving soups and stews, a skimmer for skimming off fat or other undesirable elements from broths, and forks. The longest fork is a meat fork used to spear meat in salting tubs or cooking pots. The other forks were used to skewer pieces of meat or lard for grilling over the fire.
