Mostly used in pastrymaking, lard is made from melted pork grease. This Legrade Brand 5 lb (2.26 kg) pail of lard was “packaged for Coopérative Fédérée de Québec,” which was founded in 1922. The coop today comprises around 100 affiliated coops belonging to 51,000 members.
