Silverplated
H. 17 cm (teapot)
Tea—the favorite drink of the English—was adopted by francophones in Québec. It is drunk with milk and sugar, hence the sugar bowl and milk jug in tea services. A number of rituals surround tea drinking: tea time, preparation, serving, and accompaniments, notably tea biscuits. This tea service with four layers of silver plating was made in Rochester, New York, U.S.A., by the Van Bergh company.
