Manufactured by the Amable Bélanger de Montmagny foundry, which was founded in 1867, this nickel-plated, luxury wood stove is decorated with ceramic tiles. It was used not only to cook, but to heat the building, with heat from the stove piped to other rooms of the house. In addition to the stove, it includes a foodwarmer in its upper portion and a large boiler for hot water. Teapots and coffeepots were stored on small, foldaway shelves in the tiled area.
