The Historical Method

The game's educational value stems from the fact that it revolves around the process of exploration.

It encourages players to ask questions and interpret historical events through concept networks. Educational activities enable players to better comprehend historical developments in a social and economic context. The game presents challenges that seek to get players thinking about social realities in a historical perspective and to then interpret them.

The game may be used as background to subsequent history work. It can be used as a starting point before students undertake a major historical research project.

The game is designed in such a way that players must constantly interpret the information presented to them, in this case in the form of contradictory events and puzzles. Players must read between the lines of character dialog, find clues to solve puzzles, and dissect historical texts to find the answers.

The chart below outlines the historic process.
