In 2008, Québec City will be celebrating four centuries of existence as people near and far rendezvous to mark the occasion.

 

The excitement is already rising in the Musée de la civilisation museum complex, where a treasure trove of spectacular programming awaits visitors!

Dragone

The Visionaries Garden

From June 6 to October 13, 2008

Live-giving water, a friendly boatman, a talking well, omnipresent light, a lush and colourful garden, visitors to bring it to life, and master gardener Franco Dragone to make all possible. A major installation wich will transform the roofs and façade of the Museum.

Franco Dragone conjures up an ode to life, reminding us how to go back to living in harmony with nature. The theme in line with the Dragone artistic vision and will showcase the creative energy of Québec City’s artists.

This daring new project will use water, light and plants as installation materials to create a gathering place for all visitors.

An original and participative living installation including shows, conferences, movies, creative workshops, demonstrations, tastings and more.
