The Friends of the Musée de la civilisation
Les Amis du Musée de la civilisation gathers together people of all ages who wish to visit the Museum, build a partnership with it by taking part in cultural and social activities. These dedicated people also want to advertise the Museum around them and contribute, on a voluntary basis, to extend the reputation of the Association and of the Museum.
By becoming a Friend of the Museum, YOU could
Share our interest in visiting the museological complex (the Musée de la civilisation, the Musée de l’Amérique française and the Centre d’interprétation de Place Royale), in supporting it and in advertising it;
Be invited to the launching of major exhibits and to the exclusive visits of some of them; you will also be invited to take part in the Museum’s activities (for free or at a reduced tariff);
Be greeted at the kiosque and at the Salon des Amis when attending the Museum;
Be entitled to privileges such as free access to the museological complex; you could also get discounts at the complex’s boutiques, in places of culture and in some of the region’s businesses;
Offer your voluntary services sometimes regarding different activities, in order to answer the needs of the Museum (a training is provided) or those of the Association: loaning audioguides, attending the kiosque des Amis, taking part in committees (for example mail-out, school break, board of directors);
Be kept informed byreadingthe Bulletin des Amis (three times a year), the Benevolo (a publication about voluntary commitment), the monthly agenda describing the museum’s activities, and also by attending the Annual Meeting;
Get the opportunity to be entertained and to enrich yourself on many occasions: participate to the cultural activities program exclusive to the Association, organize children’s birthday parties, become a member of the Museum’s Choir and get an invitation to the volunteers’ annual party.
