The Museum Gardens

June 24 to October 12, 2009

Musée de la civilisation rooftop opens its arms to the community

In a dazzling display of plant-entwined staircases and flowering terraces, The Museum Gardens will be a true delight for the senses as nature unfurls its splendor in Nourishment. Nourishment for body, mind, and soul, that is. And The Museum Gardens will continue to nourish the community with its bountiful harvest. Visitors can explore nine theme gardens envisioned by Nancy Bernier, designed by Bernard White, and crafted by Marie-Josée Hamel. As in 2008, the harvest from the gardens will be donated to a local community organization.

The Museum Gardens will be just as stunning and melodious by night. Come evening, the Museum rooftop will transform into a spectacular lightscape, creating a richly colored setting where visitors can gather and delight in the wonderful display!
