CAPSULE: Ingenuity and innovation
Fire, cold and wind were enemies to be vanquished. Building, enlarging and rebuilding, ever bigger and better, ever more sturdy and more beautiful, while still preserving the esthetic austerity of the whole – this was a permanent challenge for the Seminary priests. They called on the best architects, and the new buildings were tasteful, functional and equipped with the latest in technological innovations.
