Many were those willing to share their knowledge and kindle the curiosity of the young: soon their protégés would join the ranks of the professional elite. It was the intellectual and erudite priests of the Séminaire de Québec who awoke these young minds so eager to learn. While their teaching methods were inspiring and their scientific demonstrations astonishing, the collections they put together were even more amazing. Yet without having to breathe a word, the swish of their long black robes on the floor tiles whispered the rules to be followed, the prayers to be recited. The Séminaire de Québec was an institution that adapted to a world in constant evolution, and distinguished itself above all for the methods, the quality and the rigour of its teaching.
