Once Upon a Time…

Costume Workshop

Presented By

Once Upon a Time… is a costume workshop where kids from 3 to 10 years old and their parents can have a blast joyfully mixing up fairy tale ingredients. In the forest, the ballroom, the dungeon or the secret passage, the workshop is a place to re-enact fairy tales or to reinvent them with unprecedented encounters between wolves, princes and fairies… Sound and visual effects included!

Do you know Bluebeard? Hansel and Gretel? Tom Thumb? How about Snow White, Cinderella, Puss'n Boots and Little Red Riding Hood? Once Upon a Time... brings together all these known and lesser known characters from the tales of Perrault, Andersen and the Brothers Grimm.

This costume workshop offers a real collection of costumes, masterpieces of originality and beauty designed especially for the museum, so kids and their parents can take great delight in wearing them! Once Upon a Time... is also a setting that evokes all the best fairy tale spots, such as the ballroom, the forest, the witch's house, etc.

This space is also an interactive area where children are invited to play. They can climb into a dungeon, take secret passages, battle a seven-headed beast, build a house out of candies, straw, wood or brick, make potions in the big witch's caldron, help Jack climb the magic beanstalk, and discover many other things!

Parents are invited to bring their cameras to capture unforgettable memories.

"Very neat museum"

Comment written July 31, 2013

I went here with my wife, son (5yo) and daughter (2yo). I felt a little guilty given the beautiful July day, but this museum was great. My kids (and my wife!) loved the history of video games exhibit and the children's dress up activities. (…) Downstairs there was a dress up area complete with nice costumes and an interactive "set." The costumes were mostly fairy tale costumes (Puss in Boots, Princesses, Knights, etc.). Once the costumes were on, the kids could go play on the set. The set had a horse with a lance you could use to slay a dragon. There was a little Jack and the Beanstalk toy. There was a light that turned your shadow into a giant. It was great fun.
