London Calling

Signature visuel de l'exposition Ici Londres présentant une cabine téléphonique rouge et un bouldog portant un médaillon du London Jack

Since the end of the Second World War, the British capital has seen many cultural, economic and social transformations. These key events have inspired artistic movements that have impacted the whole world. Even today, Londoners’ creative energy has the power to dazzle, charm and sometimes shock!

Visitors can wander through the exhibition as if discovering a foreign city. On the floor, a map of London guides the way.

Iconic areas of the city and their individual characters are revealed:

  • Chelsea, the birthplace of punk
  • Soho, a haven of eccentricity
  • Abbey Road, where Beatlemania never dies
  • The East End, revitalized by the father of pop art, Papa Pop Hamilton

Presented by La Capitale.

London Calling is an exhibition conceived and produced by the Musée de la civilisation. Presented by La Capitale Assurance et services financiers with the participation of Air Transat, the Office du tourisme de Québec, the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, officiel hotel, and the newspaper Le Soleil.
