Charles Darwin's theory of evolution has changed how we see the world. But many other great naturalists, as well as explorers, collectors and even artists, have also spurred progress in the natural sciences and helped create the first museums.

This exhibition, produced and curated by the Natural History Museum in London, was adapted by Musée de la civilisation.

The skeleton of a sabre-toothed tiger, a meteorite from Mars, a handwritten page from Darwin's On the Origin of Species, a cursed amethyst and the mummy of a cat are but a few of the 200 incredible treasures on loan from the prestigious collections of the Natural History Museum in London. The Musée de la civilisation has added a few local objects, including a beluga skeleton, fossils from the Miguasha Heritage Site and unique minerals from Mont Saint-Hilaire that are not found anywhere else in the world. These natural science marvels tell the adventures of some captivating, curiosity-driven characters, whose stories will come to life during your visit.
