With more than 3,300 shows for over 3 million audience members, Brew is one of Québec's greatest cultural phenomena. Inspired by the simple and all-male bar-going experience, the comedy explores the familiarity, candour and woes of these men and their era. Brew depicts a Québec in the throes of cultural change, where women began demanding entry to these men-only watering holes.

Visitors to Brew. Of Taverns and Men will peek behind the scenes, from the play's creative backdrop right to the stage, in the exhibition's presentation of the thoughts and reflections of those who brought Brew to life. After exploring the play's sets, props and original costumes, visitors are led to discover an exceptional series of documentary photographs entitled La taverne, taken in 1973 by photographer Alain Chagnon.
