Travel through time to ancient Egypt, home of the pharaohs! Gain a new understanding of this amazing civilization whose intriguing pyramids, grand temples and resplendent culture have captured the imagination of people around the world.

Presentation

The Time of Pharaohs immerses you in the rich and fascinating culture of ancient Egypt.

 

Displayed in a magnificent setting, more than 350 precious artifacts shed light on the landscape and climate of the period, the importance of writing and immortality, and the private lives of Egyptians at different levels of society.

The exhibition is developed by MuseumsPartner in collaboration with the Lokschuppen Exhibition Center, the University of Aberdeen Museums and the Roemer- and Pelizaeus Museum Hildesheim. The Time of Pharaohs exhibition is presented at the Musée de la civilisation by Polycor with the financial support of the Gouvernement du Québec and Ville de Québec under the Cultural Development Agreement.
